A big problem with weight loss among most people is that no one wants to take personal responsibility for taking action. Think about it.
The more you blame everything else in your life, the more you lose power and control.
Now, of course, I’m not going to say I’m perfect by any means, but one quality I’m proud of is acknowledging my responsibilities and taking action.
For example, I realized that after finishing high school for almost a year, I was starting to lose my shape. My arms grew thinner each day as my intestine began to expand.
It was the day my favorite pants were no longer comfortable that I decided to take action and visit the university gym that I so often walked by on my way to class without even going inside.
I’ll be honest and share that I was very nervous doing any kind of weightlifting around a bunch of bulging, bloated guys who could have ripped me in half, but I dug in and made a firm decision to at least hit the gym. 3 times every week.
I thought to myself, “This is how you speed up your metabolism, Kyle.”
As a result, after a full year of consistent training, I was able to bench press close to my own body weight, which at the time was around 170 pounds. I felt extremely accomplished and full of pride.
You can talk yourself into doing just about anything if you really put your mind to it.
This statement represents just about any type of statement you can imagine. What about the timeless story of a little boy who wants a shiny new bike in the window?
You run home and get the bright idea to set up a lemonade stand on your front sidewalk, saving every penny until that awesome bike is yours! It is so.
It is a simple want or need that triggers action and leads to positive results.
But yes, there is such a thing as a slow metabolism, however, the idea does not have much validity.
If you have a slower metabolism, will you have to work a little harder? Yes you will. Will you have to eat a little healthier than the next person? Yes you will.
Those answers don’t mean you won’t succeed. how to speed up your metabolismor that the results won’t be worth it, because they most definitely will!
