Turmeric helped save my life. In 2012 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. As you can imagine, being told you have cancer is not a pleasant experience. Fortunately I had just started a 10 week assignment in a remote area of Western Australia when my doctor broke the news to me over the phone.
When I say lucky, I mean it gave me and my partner Joy the chance to do a lot of research before deciding on a course of action. Poor Joy had to experience being alone for 10 weeks after I told her the diagnosis for the first week I was away. Not something you want to hear from your partner when you won’t be seeing them for 10 weeks.
But like I say, it gave both of us a chance to think about it without having a knee-jerk reaction to the news and head to surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation right away. Which is what my doctor was hinting at.
Removing the prostate can cause all sorts of complications with the nerves around the water supply system, and that’s not something I want to experience.
WHAT I DISCOVERED
The research we did led me to the conclusion that there were better and more natural ways to deal with the situation instead of the conventional way. And they didn’t involve invasive surgery, chemicals or hospitalization.
Joy had heard of a guy named Don Tolman and he was coming to the Gold Coast for a seminar shortly after I got back.
Don is known as the Whole Food Cowboy and his knowledge and insights into the human body blew me away. I learned a lot in a very short time from Don.
As a result, I changed my diet, did even more exercise, lots of water, sun, fresh air, and meditation.
Don gave me what I like to call the secret weapon to cure prostate cancer. I would like to share it with you.
THE SECRET WEAPON DIET
Every morning for 90 days have a bowl of porridge (porridge) with flax seeds and a squeezed lemon. A teaspoon of wheat germ oil and then add hot water. I also added a banana to mine. Then I eat broccoli for lunch (raw or lightly steamed and I drizzle it with Coconut Oil or Extra Virgin Olive Oil. As for drinking my favorite smoothie is the banana, blueberry, almond milk and Turmeric one. Then tomorrow and night I drink what is known as Kabbalah Juice I mean freshly squeezed carrots x 3, apples x 3, 1 x beetroot, 1 lemon with skin if organic and a snack of Brazil nuts throughout the day.
They are the main ingredients. You can also eat as many fruits and vegetables as you like, but cut out sugar and processed foods and dairy, other than organic butter. Thick whole wheat or multi-grain bread is also fine.
So that’s what I ate for 90 days. In fact, that’s what I continue to eat and drink most days. And I often fast intermittently or for 3-7 days.
And the great news is that I am cancer free. 100 percent healthy and I have never felt better.
So I can safely say from my experience that the above feeding protocol worked wonders for me. Turmeric was a big part of that, so let’s find out more about it.
