This same way of thinking is why we are one of the least healthy progressive nations in the world. You are now at the point where there is a pill for almost every illness. There is no more discussion about how to cure things, it’s all about how to treat things. I bet you know why, Money. Big surprise, treating means recurring income, curing means short-term income.
I was provoked into writing this article due to an argument the other day with a relative. I tried to explain the health benefits of taking a few simple items when I was abruptly cut off with “I don’t like it, it doesn’t taste good”. This was followed by “I don’t want to take these things at the same time, it might hurt me.” These thoughts are a combination of bad publicity from the food industry and ignorance.
What is a normal diet?
Burgers, hot dogs, fries and soft drinks. Hormone-pumped beef, nitrates, and whatever is ground into hot dogs, French fries cooked in saturated fat, and soft drinks packed with processed sugars and sweeteners. If we can consume all these things at once and our body can process them, don’t you think it will appreciate some natural elements in one go? This was the reply to my relative. It didn’t matter, she was set in her ways and that was it.
Here are some tips
1. Labels that have Natural are not regulated by any standard. If they have 1% of a natural ingredient, they can claim Natural. This means that the other 99% can be anything. So natural means nothing to me, read the nutrition label.
two. Organic or Free Range is the best, right? In most cases, organic certification is considered the best. The questions we have to ask ourselves, is the water used organic? Most likely, the water used has chemicals in it, how does this affect the product?
We do the best we can with the food chain, I know a lot of people can’t afford organic prices. That’s why I’m going to share with you some tacky items, which are cheap and good for you.
Two nutritionally good items that are cheap
the raw egg – Let’s dispel the common fear, salmonella. Cases are 1 in millions and are usually caused by a cracked shell or sick hens. The calcium shell of the egg is sterile, when cracked bacteria can enter and break down the yoke. So look for cracks, that’s it, simple. The other factor is the mfg., as mentioned free range is better but I have been eating raw eggs from the average hatchery for 2 years with no problems. It depends on your nose, if it smells bad throw it away. We’re only talking 15 cents per egg, a steal for a super-charged B-vitamin packed supplement.
Cooking destroys nutrients – This is why I eat raw eggs. I know that it is a taste that I also had to acquire. The other thing is that the heat changes the chemical composition of the eggs, this can create allergies. If necessary, poach the eggs. This is the lesser of heating evils.
Sometime in the late 1980s, the FDA began railing against raw eggs and suggested commercial egg substitutes. I bet if you do your research you’ll find some connected dots between the lobbyists and the FDA, just my opinion.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil Cold Pressed – I take 2 tablespoons a day, one in the morning and one at night. I figured it’s like 3 cents a spoonful, another bargain.
How often will your doctor suggest taking olive oil for cholesterol? Today’s prescription drugs stop cholesterol production in the liver, lowering cholesterol levels. The problem is that your brain is 80% fat and needs cholesterol. Studies are now linking these drugs to memory loss. Enter the Olive Oil.
Olive oil is extracted from the fruit of the olive by pressing, extra virgin means the first pressing. This contains the most nutrients. Cold pressing is the best to preserve nutritional properties.
The general benefits of olive oil are that it is a monounsaturated fat that lowers overall cholesterol levels, is a good antioxidant that benefits the heart, and is excellent for arterial oxidation and colon problems.
Keep this oil sealed in a cool, dark place.
plastic water bottles
A quick mention about flimsy plastic water bottles. The plastic contains petrolites, in short, these plastics spill poison in the popular bottled waters. It is recommended to replace the heavy glass or plastic container. The other factor is that we simply don’t know where these boxes of water bottles have been stored. They may have already been in a heated place where the contents are already contaminated.
Some of this must sound crazy, but the evidence in our society where people are falling apart at much younger ages is overwhelming.
Making a few adjustments and taking the time to find out the truth can save you a lot in the future.
