Children love to have parties. Don’t make them wait for a birthday to have a gathering of friends, create an occasion. Organize a play date and make it a theme so that you have a lot of fun.
A party supply store will have every character imaginable to choose from when deciding on a theme. Paper products, decorations, and favors can be coordinated under one character, color, or idea. A party planner will help you with any questions you may have with your needs.
Send invitations to your guests. Have them addressed to the child himself so that he gets to open the mail. Sometimes that’s her favorite part of the whole deal! Include a picture of your child so that if he can’t read, you’ll immediately know whose he is. The image and an invitation usually mean a party in the mind of a child!
A children’s party will need decorations. Many balloons and streamers in colors to match the theme can be purchased at the party supply store. They will also have balloon weights, goodie bags and trinkets to give away as prizes.
If your kids’ party includes lunch, keep it simple. Chances are kids are too excited to eat anyway, so their favorites might appeal to them more. Chicken nuggets, fish sticks, or peanut butter and jelly come closest to the table. Throw in a handful of grapes or apple slices, and they’re happy clans.
Plan a couple of new games to try. Play board games, hide-and-seek, or puzzles. If he’s playing well on his own with toys, you may want to leave him alone and enjoy the rest. If the other moms stay over, use the time to catch up with the visitors.
