blind from birth
Most historians are of the opinion that Abu Abdul Rahman Jafar was blind from birth. The Persian poet Muhammad Aofi declared Rodwki blind from birth. However, some historians have recounted that Rowdki becomes blind later in his life. There are many perceptions about his blindness. Abu Abdul Rahman Jafar’s poetry shows that he became blind later in his life because he used colors in his poetry.
Reasons behind the blindness of Abu Abdullah Jafar
Historians have stated two reasons behind the blindness of Abu Abdullah Jafar Bin Muhammad. The reasons are attached below:-
1) First Reason. Renowned Persian poet Agha Saeed Nafeesi writes that a warm stick was put into Rowdki’s eyes, rendering him blind. He did not produce a solid reason for his statement. However, Nafeesi explained his statement and said that Rowdki was suffering from “Khonsa” eye disease. Khonsa is an eye disease that gradually reduces the sight of the eye. People used to put a warm stick on it for his remedy. In this way, a warm tick was put on Abu Abdullah Jafar’s eyes, however, some carelessness occurred in the process, which left him blind.
2) Second Reason. Historians also narrated a second reason for Rowdki’s blindness. Abu Fazal Balghami was in the office of King Ismail Bin Ahmad Samani, who was Rowdki’s best friend. When Islamil removed Abu Fazal from his position, Ismail also punished his close friends and associates. Ismail Bin Ahmad is also suspected of putting a warm tick in Abu Abdullah Jafar’s eyes for this reason and blinding him.
First date
Rawdki initially started working in the office of King Nasar Bin Ahmad Samani. Although Rowdki did not use the name of King Nasar Bin Ahmad in his poetry, however, historians have narrated his presence in his office. Once, King Nasar prolonged his stay in Herat (now in southern Afghanistan). The people asked Abu Abdullah Jafar to persuade the king to return to his hometown. Rowdki wrote a poem in which he drew King Nasar’s attention to the troubles of the people and the king soon returned to his palace. Abu Abdullah Jafar also wrote poems for Ameer Abu Jafar who was governor of Seestan (now in Iran).

Rowdki has a thoughtful heart and a sensitive nature. He loved people and feels their pain. Abu Abdullah Jafar advises people in his poetry and says that the circumstances of the world remain the same, they change from time to time. Therefore, we should not worry about it. Rowdki loves the world and its dividends, but he also advises people to be patient because both the world and humans are mortal.
