Net neutrality was a novel concept, creating an open Internet where all users are treated equally, from big cows to small chickens. Unfortunately, when the Internet is increasingly being shaped by giant monopolies. what really drives this equality or inequality is where the ball stops and it is not based on any "fair" or "equality" methodology. The FCC has for the most part failed miserably in it...
The Complete Grape Growing System by Danie Wium is by far the best book I have read on growing grapes. Danie owns a ‘grape farm’ and this is what she does for a living. It has 40 permanent workers and during its peak harvest season, it hires another 30 workers. Know the grapes!
Danie’s book offers information on the best way to grow grapes that I have never read before. It even informs you about the origin of the grapes!
There are many pictures to guide you. It is simply written for everyone to understand. So clear, that now I understand how to prune vines, that I just didn’t understand before!
Detailed information on the complete structure of the grape so that there are no misunderstandings between ‘Canes’, ‘Spurs’ and ‘Water Brotes’. There is even a diagram of where to get the cuttings from the vines. It includes ways to start your own grape cuttings to produce more vines, so you can start with a single vine if you wish.
Danie includes detailed instructions on building fences or trellises and how to train vines to grow on them. There is no room for confusion on how to build a fence or trellis.
Watering the grapes is no longer a mystery to Danie making it very clear what is needed. Danie finishes the book on pest and disease control. It offers some natural ways to get rid of pesky animals that would eat your grapes!
Danie closes his book with a way to contact him if he has questions or reads something in the book that he doesn’t understand – a little ‘tech support’ for grapes!
The book is true to its title, it is complete in every way. This is a book that is extremely valuable to me and it is the only book on grape growing that I have. I have searched for the best book I could find that would give me everything I need to know in order to successfully grow grapes in my backyard. Although I don’t want to have a grape farm, I do want to grow my own grapes to eat fresh and make jelly. This book exceeds all the expectations I was looking for.
I highly recommend this book, The Complete Grape Growing System, to anyone who wants to successfully grow grapes.
